Human-Robot Interaction Lab
Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies
Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava
We are the Human-Robot Interaction Lab (HRILab) , a multidisciplinary research group dedicated to pushing the boundaries of how people and technology coexist. Our mission is to develop innovative human-centered technologies that bridge the gap between digital systems and real-world impact.
Human-Computer Interaction & User Experience
We research how individuals interact with digital systems and adaptive learning technologies to build more intuitive and personalized user experiences. This involves advanced user modeling, the development of adaptive intelligent interfaces, and the application of human-centered AI to create engaging digital environments. Our goal is to study user behavior to ensure technology responds dynamically to human needs.
eHealth Informatics & Social Robotics
Our lab investigates the intersection of healthcare and technology, focusing on telemedicine and intelligent data analysis to support patient care and medical decision-making. We are actively developing digital tools for mental health management and exploring social robotics to create assistive companions for the elderly. This includes researching neuroadaptive interactions where robots can adapt in real-time to a user’s cognitive and emotional state.
VR/AR & Intelligent Software Engineering
We explore immersive technologies like Virtual, Augmented, and Extended Reality (VR/AR/XR) to revolutionize how software is visualized and how users interact with complex data. Additionally, we apply intelligent systems to education and software engineering to streamline development processes. Our research includes using generative AI to personalize virtual experiences and creating smart data pipelines for cognitive computing.
